PLease note Marston's tush there in front. This is the oldest Cathedral in Austria, I think that's what Marston told me. It sure is beautiful. More details follow.
Cathedral1.jpg
Cathedral2.jpg Over the entrance in the back. Wow, what a pipe organ.
Cathedral3.jpg Trying for a close-up.
Cathedral4.jpg Just one of the many stations around the room. Omigawd.
CathedralOutside.jpg Here's the outside of that cathedral.
FromOurLunchTable.jpg ignor the close up of the guy I don't know there in front. The picture is just to show what Marston and I could see from our lunch table.
WhereTheLunchTableIs.jpg Here's where we were stopping for lunch. There's Marston in the shade, if you look. architecture1.jpg More stuff visible from over the menu.
Architecture2.jpg Just a little more flavor of the place.
SilverGirl1.jpg Here's a lesson in how to busk with the least amount of talent. She just stands there, twirling her little rose on a stick, and thanks folks for dropping in some cash. On the other hand, she stands stock still for hours, it seems. We didn't see her leave the pedestal the whole time we were there having lunch. She must have been sweating like a pig underneath that get up. I didn't check.
SilverGirl2.jpg Alittle back further. I gave her 20 cents.
DowntheAlley.jpg Check the guy in the Austrian get up. he's acting like he belongs there.
DownAnotherAlley.jpg This is taken with my back to the Silver Girl.
DownAnotherAlley2.jpg How did these people get into my photo of the alley?
MyHotel1.jpg The Tourotel hotel. The entrance is behind the tables under the oval "Weinerwald" sign.
MyHotel2.jpg just a little closer.
GiftShop1.jpg GiftShop2.jpg GiftShop4.jpg random activity in the gift shop.
GiftShop3.jpg I love this little quilt.
Redmond.jpg When I told him [Redmond Gleeson] that I was under orders from Melinda to take pictures, this is the smile he gave. He really brightened up for you, Melinda. He was about to reach forward with his hand over my camera, crying out "no pictures!" But boy, I just said "for Melinda" and his whole demeanor changed.
