THE FIRST THREE DAYS OF CONGRESS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Congress will start with three days that are clear of workshops and WSA business. Following is a letter from the international helpers about these first three days: "The World Subud Council's approach to this Congress is to try to arrange it so that the latihan is as central as possible. To this end, the international helpers have developed a flexible plan. The intention is to facilitate a process in the first three days of Congress that will enable us to experience latihan together and then break into small groups facilitated by international helpers, past international helpers, national helpers, and other volunteers. Many rooms have been set-aside for this purpose. In the small groups, we will have the opportunity to discuss our concerns, formulate questions, and receive together. Later a facilitator will share some of what happened (not the receiving, just the questions), if the members of the group agree. That way everyone can hear what issues are of particular concern to one another. Personal testing will be kept confidential so that everyone feels safe participating. Each member's voice will be heard by the facilitator and the content of the groups will be determined not by the facilitator, but by the participants themselves. The international helpers intend that this process will be open and flexible, and that participants agree and are comfortable with the process. We have found that this approach has worked well at gatherings throughout the world. It has helped deepen our receiving and understanding. We hope that beginning Congress in this way will help us place receiving at the center of all our activities and proceedings of Congress." As above, the international helpers are inviting ex-international helpers and other helpers to join them in helping to facilitate latihan sessions during these first three days. If you are interested, please join the international helpers in a meeting on the morning of the 21st. There will be a latihan at 11.00 and a late latihan at 22.30 every day of the congress. The International helpers have organised latihan activities on: (Innsbruck time) 21st July starting at 16.00 - 18.00 22nd July starting at 16.00 - 18.00 23rd July starting at 14.00 - 18.00 There will be activities for children and young people at the Stadtsale and 7th Chapel sites, Kindergarten, and Kid's camp, and the Quest@congress will start on the 22nd in the Stadtsale.
